Avenger lost special shapeshifts?

I think this is my third time through with an Avenger because it's my favorite class, but I just discovered my Sword Spider, Baby Wyvern, and Fire Salamander shapeshifts are gone. This didn't happen before--is there any way to get them back? I created my character in ToB and imported him into SoA, but I've done this the other times and nothing happened. I already had the two Elemental Shapeshifts abilities, so I don't know what triggered it. I'm angry! (The sword spider is the only want I really want because of the poison.)

Did I do something wrong? I'm only in Chapter 3.
