Mehrunes Razor (possible spoilers)

I wanted to know before I purchased Mehrunes Razor if the Razor was a blade and if so what abilities does it have? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mehrunes Razor is a dagger, and it has a banishment ability- a chance to instantly kill. I understand this ability is based on a character's Luck attribute, and it is never better than 10%. It has a Disintegrate Armor spell, also.

It's a nice little dagger, and the quest is fun to play, I just recently played it. The combat is difficult, but I'm sure it's leveled, like most things in this game.

Yep leveled as ever I got some pretty good loot out of there bits of enchanted daedric armour +10 strength if i recall but i think the enemies i faced were masters or at least experts of blade

Well then it will be pretty tough for me because I'm level 42 and a mastter of blade. I guess that this will really prove my ability to fight in Oblivion. Thanks because of yall I decided to buy the expansion.

So just did this quest again recently on a brand new file after....sadly

, my old file got corrupted. It's been roughly a year since I've gotten the razor last time but something I've been wondering this time around now that I've been paying more attention is, does the Banishing effect work on Vampires and Dremora? I know it does not work on Essentials and Creatures but as Vampires and Dremora have NPC souls, I was wondering if the dagger actually banished them as well or if they were included in the creature faction?

I looked on the Oblivion Wiki but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Does anybody know the restrictions on the Banishment ability?
