I almost thought you were referring to those medics in the field. It'll suck if you're wounded and no medic is nearby.

I do recall a medic there, but he died in an assault on an MG emplacement. I think he told his captain (or pretty much somebody in the unit) to put him out of his misery or something. Can't recall much as it's been a while since I last saw that movie.

I also can't recall seeing medics in any other war movies aside from Saving Private Ryan and Flags of Our Fathers. They could be seen somewhere in older war movies, though I could be wrong.

Actually, if you watch carefully, many war movies have medics in those, many just doesn't have important role and thus may not get much "screen time"...

Actually, though not directly a movie, Band of Brothers did have medic, and it had partially important role...
