armour rating maxed?

Post by figulus »

Hi ,
My full glass armour has had an armour rating of 85 while my light armour
skill was in the late 80's / 90's.. so when I finally got light armour to 100
I expected another 50% on top of that.. as it says. However my amour rating
is still 85? wtf?...is there a cap on light armour's rating?

Armor is Capped at 85 *SPOILER*

It has been my experiance that both heavy and light armor has a maximum of 85. However, there is still some benefit from having skills/spells/experiance that would put you over the 85 limit because if you are in a big long fight, as your armor degrades, you will still stay at the max of 85 longer. i.e. if your stuff would put you at 100, it will only go to 85, but the armor damage from fighting will have to be over 15% before you drop under 85, if you see what I mean.

I have found that damage reflection items can go as high as you have the items for. If I put all my damage reflection item on it is like 127%. For every 100 points they try to give me, I take 0 damage and they take 127 back. It makes the game too easy though so I never wear it. Spell reflection and chameleon work the same way, and once they go over 100 you wil take no damage or cannot be detected at all and can strike again and again from the shadows. They should have put a cap on these things too in my humble opinion.
Have you ever considered that the sole reason for your existance is to merely serve as a warning to others?

Thanks for the confirmation on the armour rating...makes sense.
Also agree with capping the reflective items / chameleons .
There is now doubt that this is agreat game as it's predecessor was but
one thing that let eld.iii down was that after you had attained higher levels
the game was just to easy. hope this doesn't pan out the same way!?

Regards.
