Hello everyone! My name is Jenny and I'm a 20 year old college student from Florida who loves Dungeons and Dragons! I also love making videos of random stuff and I wanted to make a video about a Dungeons and Dragons group. If it has a positive response I'll make more and if not than it will at least be a funny video lol
My idea is still in it's birthing process. I would love to hear suggestions and ideas of what the audience would like to see in an video/internet show about a dungeons and dragons group. This is what I have so far:
This idea/show is going to be based around a dungeons and dragons group. Each member of the group is going to be character-cast as one of the types of typical dungeons and dragons players that I have come across in my years of playing and in just the fantasy genre in general. For example - there is going to be a character who is a stickler for the rules of the game; there will be a player who isn't really into the roleplaying aspect; there will be someone who is all about the roleplaying aspect; etc. And trust me, you will know which character represents what because they will be slightly exaggerated.
The show will film around the group at the table and witness what they go through in the game. The show will also film away-from-the-table friendships between the group and show how those friendships affect gameplay at the table (i.e. if two people have had an argument earlier that day it will show in how they play in the game).
I know that description seems rather bland but if I go too far into it than it won't be a surprise! lol I hope you like what I have so far and please feel free to bring in some suggestions.
I'm really excited about doing this. If anyone has ever been to Pure Pwnage - 'taking n00bs to school since 2004' than that is kind of the film style I will use. I am not stealing any story lines or making it a mockumentary but as for how the people at Purepwnage set up scenes - yeah I'm doing that. They don't write scripts so most of the time they just wing it. I hate writing scripts but if we think of something funny to put into the show we will write it down.
If anyone has any really funny stories about something that happened to them in a DnD game and you wouldn't mind us using it in the show please send me a private message.
Thanks for reading and responding!

Sounds like a nice idea.
What I find amusing is taking bits of the game that are silly and using them.
For example, the DM rolls an secretly spot check behind the screen when the characters don't know they are being watched.
All fail and one of the players (who saw the roll) says: "I feel like I just missed a spot check...."
Stuff like that.
