What weapon should I get? (spoilers:O)
Allright... I've been playing this game for a while now and I got to level 10 today (Yay me ^_^). My character is pretty powerful but I wish it was more powerful. I am a very rich spellsword who leveled up security and sneak moderately high, so I steal whatever I can get my hands on. But I thought that, although I have pretty good armor, it is not good enough. I want to get the best long sword and the best armor in the game. I can level up any armor class with time, and what best to start with other than the best armor. I would like just an ultimate answer, if that exists. I really just want the best armor, which is probably heavy, so I have already started training that. So, any suggestions on what the best armor and longsword in the game are? Please also list about where to find them. I am willing to go to any cave or kill anything that doesn't alter quests. I do have the Xbox version with tribunal and bloodmoon.
Thank you
Thank you

What's better? Coca Cola or Pepsi? Playstation or Xbox? Mac or PC? It's a matter of opinion. With an RPG as big and re playable as Morrowind there is no "best" anything.

Magelord is right. In game as big as Morrowind, there is no single answer for this question.
You might find it helpful to take a look at this site, however.
By the way, not to burst your bubble or anything, but level 10 is actually still pretty low level where Morrowind is concerned

I've always used the full daedric armor set.
As for sword, I used The BiPolar (Acquired in Mournhold Side quest I believe) blade for a long while, then swtiched to Trueflame and Hopesfire (Acquired during Tribunal Main quest)

You don't have to kill Fyr to get full Daedric. If you have all the expansions you can get a full set of Daedric armour without killing anyone important.

You'll get plenty of different replies on this question too.Spellswordgirl wrote:Thanks everyone. O, what is the recommended level to beat dagoth ur at?
It really depends on your personal style of play, but I'd suggest doing so earlier rather than later. First of all, you do have an island to save, don't forget, and more significantly, if you wait too long, the battle tends to feel anti-climactic. Given that he is supposed to be the primary "evil boss" in the original game, you don't really want that "Ho hum" feeling after dealing him his just deserts.
Of course, that's just my personal POV, no doubt others here will offer you completely opposing arguments.

At times when I'm feeling silly I carry a weapon I made named the "Bomb Stick" it's a ebony(?) wizard staff enchanted with -100% fire resistance for 2 seconds, absorb life 10 for 50 feet 1 second and fire damage at 50 feet fitting as much damage as possible into 1 second.
When entering tombs I go and hit the first monster I see and find there's nothing left alive after 1 or 2 shakes of the bombstick.

It really does depend on how challenging you want the battle to be... so yes Level 25+ if you want to do it without too much difficulty. But... personally, I prefer around level 15 (on 100 difficulty after planned power levelling). If you deal with Uncle Ur then, you actually feel like you've come through a fairly epic battle by the end of it. IMO, that is much more satisfyingAmpaSand wrote:To beat Dagoth Ur You need to be kind of strong so I would say about Lv 25 if your really good at what you do or 35+ if you want it easier
Although, I am coming from a gaming background where beating the major boss is usually *really* hard, and I tend to prefer it that way.

I've got most of that stuff on the first page...
Working on the rest of the Daedric stuff. I'm headed to Tel Fyr to go get the rest of the Daedric stuff... can't find a Daedric Tower Shield anywhere... I suppose I just keep waiting every day for guys to spawn with one...
I fail to see why everyone is saying to get the Daedric Crescent?
Right, as for weaponry:
What is the difference between a Daedric Dai-Katana and the Claymore? Both are 1-60 Chop... Oh and if I'm enchanting it, what's the difference between Absorb Health and Drain Health?

1. Drain health is temporary, once the duration has expired the victim gets the health back.Jan Dodonna wrote: What is the difference between a Daedric Dai-Katana and the Claymore? Both are 1-60 Chop... Oh and if I'm enchanting it, what's the difference between Absorb Health and Drain Health?
2. Absorb health adds the health stolen to your health points, up to your max health that is.
