And the other characters are only there for help if you needed it or wanted it. You wouldn't be able to customize those other characters in any way.
I thought this would be an awsome feature, tell me what you think of it.
I don't know if this would be good or not. Part of what I like about Fable is that you are basically a silent protaganist (95% of the time at least). If you mixed in a party, then it's be less like Fable and more like a FF or DnD type game. It might work if it was similar to SW:KotOR- one main character, other secondary characters.
I would like to see a little better AI. Sometimes I lose a quest in Fable because the NPCs do the dumbest things, or because of random spawns. I know this plagues all rpgs, but in Fable it felt like it was happening all the time my first time through the game.

I don't think that will be possible because as what Peter Molyneux himself and Lionhead Studios had clearly mentioned, the game is set 500 years after the events of Fable/Fable: The Lost Chapters.

I think he meant continue playing Fable 2 after you complete it, not continue on from Fable:TLC

Damn. What is wrong with me? Can't believe that I've been misreading posts lately. Oh well, as for being able to continue playing after finishing the main story of Fable 2, I wouldn't mind but the problem is that if the player have finished all the side quests before finishing the story, there will be basically nothing to do afterwards.
Lionhead could follow Bethseda's style of providing many side quests (or is it generating side quests) after the completion of the main story like what they did in Morrowind but it will become repetitive overtime. These are the reasons, for me, as to why I don't really like this feature.

Hi,
I have got to say that I feel that Fable 2 really has to be longer, I have both Fable and then Fable TLC, as well as that i have both Star Wars KOTR games, and The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.
I got my 360 last november along with Oblivion and yes I haven't played it religiously but iv been doing all the side quests on Oblivion and been playing around 50-60 hours with the end still no where in sight!! I feel that Oblivion has really set the bar high for Fable 2. I really hope Lionhead do Fable 2 justice, the first Fable i saw at my mates house, he was fighting the giant scorpion in the arena, i went home that day and ordered fable straight away. I absolutly loved the game, the choices system was brilliant, and at that time i would have to say that the only downside of it was the loading times occasionally. However, then the KOTR came out and im a big fan of the star wars games and wishing and hoping for KOTR III to come out. I felt Fable was still slightly better then KOTR games at that moment, however i did feel that it needed to be longer.
And then i got Oblivion and the only bad thing i can ever say about that game is the loading on it, other than that i would rate it as the greatest xbox 360 game. (However 2007 sees the year of Halo3 and GTA4 so we'll see!!)
I just hope fable2 is as good as OBlivion cos those two games competing for the top spot over the next few years will be amazing. The trailer i have seen of Fable 2 looks good. and if they can shorten the loading times that Oblivion has, whilst still keeping depth like Oblivion, then we are in for an amazing amazing game.
Oblivion says: Live another life in another world. I hope that thats the case with Fable 2 aswell!
I don't know if I ever mentioned this before but what about the idea of having different fighting stances/styles? Might be something of a welcome change in case you're tired of fighting in the same stance/style after a while. Any thoughts?

I think that there should be more than one guild, like in elder scrolls. Possibly a fighter's guild, mages guild, and maybe some other guilds that would be pertinent to fable 2.

We could also make side-quests and such for different people.
hi im new to this messanging thing im in kenya and i got fable on pc from my friend about a month ago and have played a couple of games and its great.
i just want to know where do you get mods cuz i really want to mod my char and i want to kno whre to get a mod
thnks if you can relpy
This is a forum for Fable 2, which is still in production and has not been released yet. I know a few people have attempted mods for Fable and Fable:TLC, but you will need to ask for help finding these by posting in the Fable & Fable:TLC forum
In my opinion, I think armour sets have to be divided into three different categories: Light, Medium and Heavy but, with a twist. Light armour is weak but you're able to run and sprint much faster and be able to jump. Medium armour is a balance between manoeuvrability and durability. As for heavy armour, it's tough and you are able to withstand a lot of punishment but at the cost of manoeuvrability. Pity I rarely see this in RPGs.

It would be fun if we could interact with the environment a bit more. Beating the game and being all powerful and all you'd think I would be able to chase a traveller with a huge rock I picked up.
Having followers
I would like to see some followers the higher your renown is. Being completely evil is no fun if you don't have worshippers or minions at your beckon call.
Having complete control of a town or city
It would be fun seeing towns or cities change base on being good or evil. Evil being more like a dark and decrepit place and being good you get to be either mayor or protector....Discounts anyone?
Mini Games
More mini games maybe some physical stuff such as lifting, running, swimming, hunting, fishing etc.
Legendary weapons and Armor
Make some quest oriented and more challenging to obtain.
ONLINE Play
Like a Olympic type games where it happens once every year, game time, and pits online players thru games of will and strength. And maybe leading up to a more prestigious tournament accumulating points from the yearly tournaments where the best of the best go at it for a shot at the ultimate prize. Which you don't get even if you do win but what you get is a quest that only the champion is able to get.
The Arena
I would like to see some game modes for the arena such as fastest kills or survival of some sort not to mention on-line play with some restrictions of course (Slow time would be cheap at the highest rank).
Raumoheru wrote:24+hours is NOT enough. i am a serious RPG gamer, i want a serious RPG game. Give me 100+ Hours then we can start talkin about playing fable again.
we need TONS more missions to take, and more chances to have party members. the weak mercenaries they gave us just didnt fly with me, we need stronger people who can fight, or better yet, have a healer running around with us.
instead of party members making u pay every "hour" they should be recruitable with the more fame you have, having to negotiate a bit at first but when you are famous and above they practically beg you to let them join.
but if you treat them poorly they will leave you.
Hm, very intresting point i'm not the type to have help I like the game play personally to be alone but hey its you so yeah that would be enjoyable (even though every henchman I hire just ends up as a distraction to run the hell away ) so would the extended game play all games are short for me I expected Fable to last longer still good RPG oh yes and heres my idea for what a sequel (typo maybe) after defeating Jack (poor jack) At the begining
of the game the rift shoul reopen in the chamber of fate after 500 years and like he would arise without mask and be all big and gettin it on with his bad self. =] any how yall have better ideas than me =P
I just had a thought, Taking examples from Fable1; you could have it so the clothes that have an alignment affect actually transformed your body depending on how long you wear them. EG. assasin armour could make you stealthy and thin after half an hour, it could also give you powers like stealth attacks or an upgrade to your stealth skill. Legendary armour. EG archons armour (lost chapters) could make you really muscly and tall, and make people respect you more, perhaps even grovel when they saw you, because you are actually king. Maybe assassin clothes (after like 2 hours) could make you invisible.
I Know this isnt related but: Has anyone noticed how the animation for STRENGTH in Fable 1 is a guy picking up a rock, how come we cant??
i would like to hav dialouge choice like in kotor instead of the same old do this/ or dont do this i mean give us some choice and id lov some more middle ground i mean the choice is either really good guy or super evil guy
you know when you find out the imaginary voices in your head aren't imaginary...... you finally wake up and listen and it just proves .... it pays to be parranoid
This must seem real stupid after all these wonderful ideas, but I wanna see dual wielding, being able to wield a shield as well, and ALOT MORE SPELLS THAN IN FABLE1...
YOU DONT KNOW THE POWER OF THE DRUNKSIDE ill beat you up with my bottl ...lightsaber!!!And Drunk Side is a bar in KOTOR1... check these out! http://www.xfire.com/screenshots/drunkside/
