I started in the thieves guild fairly late with this character probably around level 40 so as such when i fenced goods i sold put a lot of relatively expensive goods in quickly because of this i broke well past the requirement of fenced goods for more than one of the quests
when i finished the first quest i already had a not in independent thievery saying i had reached my goal of fenced goods but i couldn't get the next quest
anyone know how to fix it?
early Thieves guild problem
The amount of stuff you fenced shouldn't be the problem. I've had several characters who fenced several thousand GP of loot as soon as I joined the guild, enough to carry me through the rest of the whole quest line without stopping to do any independent jobs between primary quests. Check your quest log and see if there are any other milestones you need to finish, or maybe just wait a day and check back with your doyen.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
