Xidette-Shivering Isles **SPOILERS**

Post by jeffmartis »

Xidette is a fortress in the Shivering Isles expansion pack. At the bottom of this fortress dungeon is an area that has 4 statues in a circle, one statue by itself, 4 buttons ion a circle and one button by itself. The four buttons when depressed, followed by pressing the single button, cause the four statues to be hit by lightning is different sequences depending on which combination of the 4 buttons you push first. I have an idea that pushing the buttons in the proper sequence will trigger the opening of a hidden door to further areas of the dungeon.
Can anyone give me the correct sequence of these buttons or where to find the information. Thanks
Have you ever considered that the sole reason for your existance is to merely serve as a warning to others?

No Replies ?

I see you never received any replies.

I haven't yet been to this location but I'm sure I will soon enough and will likely run into the same difficulties.

However, since there are no replies here (short of mine... which is no help to you at all), did you find your answer ???

Care to share the solution here or somewhere else ?
If there is a thread or post related to this, can you please post it here so I and others can find it when needed ?

Thanks in advance.

Got past the statues, but lost on what to do next

Hey, I got past the statues your talking about (which I'll explain here in a second) but I'm completely confused on what to do next. Solving the little statue game opens a door that leads to an elevated hallway (still in the catacombs) that makes you jump across the ceiling banisters to get across. If you walk that way a bit, you get to this little room with a massive, and i mean massive, crystal chest. Unfortunately, it's locked and needs a key, and I kind find it anywhere. The trick to the statues, is that you have to let the lightning that the first one shoots go all the way to the statue in the room where you find and kill the matriarch zealot lady. Each of the buttons in the four button cluster rotate the corresponding statue in the four statue cluster 45 degrees. The button all by itself on the statue thats looking over the other four causes it to shoot a bolt of lightning to the first statue in the sequence of the main for. That statue in turn will shoot lightning in whatever direction its pointing. If its pointing at statue number two, then it will shoot the lightning into that statue, and statue number two will shoot it out in the direction its pointing. You just have to make the statues all shoot lightning into each other, and then into the room opposite the statue thats by itself (the one with the button on it.) Theres a 6th statue in that room, and when you get the chain lightning to hit it, it shoots it at the wall in front of it, opening the door. I'd really appreciate if somebody had some idea how to get the key to the crystal chest, because I don't want to go without whatevers in it.

I think you need a Heart of Order to open it.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
