Beginner questions:

Post by Lirael »

Hi guys. I just started playing about a week ago on my pc and i love it. I have Morrowind goty. Ok annoying beginner's questions for today:

Can I have two games going on at the same time? For instance can i have one game as a healer and set up a "new" game as a warrior at the same time?

Second, i'm a healer and I just learned how to create potions. Am I going to learn how to heal people later on or is that something i should know how to do already. I only just got my mortar and pestle and the formulary book for potions. Am I jumping the gun?

Third and lastly, How do i build up "relationships" with people that don't like me in the beginning? Do i just click on all the topic options and talk to them as often as possible?

Thanks guys!
From the newbie,

I never thought of that one game is keeping me very much amused!! I couldn't imagine playing two characters on my first time round. But people have spoken about playing several characters at once.
Second, i'm a healer and I just learned how to create potions. Am I going to learn how to heal people later on or is that something i should know how to do already. I only just got my mortar and pestle and the formulary book for potions. Am I jumping the gun?
I know you can cast spells to heal others but as far as I am aware, you can only make potions you can drink. My advise would be to practice all your skills. Collect lots of ingredients and just make potions, any potions to get your skills up there for amchemy.

You have to pu\ersuade them. Use your personality and luck etc. to make them like you. There is a persuassion option to look at your options. Tihs area is affected by your speechcraft and personality.

It takes a while to get used to everything and to learn all the different things that can make your attacks, persuassions and your encounters successful but it all helps!!

Good Luck and enjoy!

You will be able to heal one class of NPCs this way: followers. If you have the game addons, you should be able to acquire followers. There are also many player-made mods that add very complex followers. Should you give some of them potions, they will wait until very low on health, and then consume accordingly. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

My advice is to just bribe people that hate you. But unless you NEED to talk to tham leave them alone as they won't attack you.

The only way to heal NPCs is using spells; you don't begin with any spells that will do this, you will have to buy a spell off someone or pay them to make a spell. When making a spell be careful because if you make it too effective you will have little to no chance of successfully casting it.

ur best bet is to do quests to raise ur reputation, also if ppl are in the same faction as u, u get extra boosts to their disposition for doing their quests

or u can cheat and use charm spells =p

Healing

you need the right ingredients in order to make healing potions and potions can only be drunk by yourself or sold to other people and also a good alchemy skill is needed or else the making of the potion will fail.

you can get spells that allow you to heal a companion or yourself.

And you can have more than one game/character going. I currently only have one though as i am focusing on one game and getting my characters stats up as best i can
