Spell writing failure.

Post by xraygord »

I'm just getting started and Imoen has failed to copy(write magic) 4 out of 5 scrolls that I have found so far. Could someone let me know if this normal for her?

No way to tell, unless you tell us the level of each spell scroll. and her current level.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

If you`re playing at core level, this could be the problem.

If you look in the character sheet, at the right hand side in the scroll menu you can go down to see the "chance to write magic". The higher the intelligence a character has the better their chance at writing scrolls.

Remember you can boost one's chances by drinking potions of genius (availbale at most temples).
