my bro downloaded the update for oblivion on the xbox 360 and the duplicate item trick wont work any more is there any other way to do it

I think Vigilante said this a couple of weeks ago. Try doing the same thing you would normally do but "equip" your fists and then do the same thing by opening up the menu during mid fist swing. You will probably need to ask Vigilante about that but I think that's how you do it.

First you must have 2 types of arrows. Then equip one type. Pull out a weapon of your chioce and attack. Mid-attack change arrows and drop items then drop the screen. The item will be duped will equal to how ever many arrows are in the quiver you selected to change to during the attack.

There is another way to do this that is not changed by the recent patches.
though...its not as good as the "bow" trick.

First find multiple coppies of the same SCROLL the more the better.
Then, equip those scrolls
Highlight a SINGULAR item, does not work with stacked items
Then drop that item.

Again, not as good, but it was not fixed in the patches so it could be your saving grace.
