Game Breaking (SPOILERS)

Post by GodPsycho »

Ive been reading the forums and I have not found a post so far that details how veteran players of the game have "Broke" it. So, I decided to create one Just a few examples of this are getting 100% reflect damage, spell absorbtion or finding a unique and very powerful item. This is NOT a thread for mods and codes.

Ill start it off.

101% Reflect Damage
There are 3 items you need for 101% Reflect Damage.
1. Necklace of Swords/Amulet of Axes-33%
2. Ring of the Iron Fist-33%
3. Estucheon of Chorrol-33%

The first two items can be found at the Temple of the Ancestor Moth, from the theives guild quest, Turning a Blind Eye. Deep in the temple, in the Shrine of the Moth, where you find Savillas stone, the is 1 enemy, a Blind Moth Guardian. This enemy is special because he ALWAYS drops a rare amulet or ring. Luckily, the loot is reset when you enter the Shrine of the Moth, so all you have to do is Save in front of the enterance, go in, kill the moth, and if you dont find what you need, reload your save. The Guardian respawns every 72 houres so you must wait 72 houres after you find one one of the pieces of jewlery. IMPORTANT you must be lvl 25 before you attempt to get these items, they will never drop if you are below 25.
The third piece, the estucheon of Chorrol is a reward for completing the quest line the Jemane Brothers, just make sure you give the Honorblade of Chorrol back to the people, give it to the steward of Chorrol in Chorrol Castle NOT the other option. Again, you must recieve this item at 25 or higher to get the neccessary effects.

There you have it, 101% reflect damage, you will TAKE NO DAMAGE from melee, laugh as enemies attack you only to be killed by their own damage! You'll start feeling like god after awhile.

Hope you post your ideas on how you conqured Oblivion.
I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. "Ezekial 25:17"

Spoiler

You know, you really need to add that SPOILER tag to your title. That said 101% chameleon is a game killer even more than the 100% reflect melee damage because you can still die from spells with that one. With the chameleon you can attack again and again and they just don't see you. Even guards, daedra etc. The only thing that ever noticed me was a werewolf from some guys mod I dl'ed I don't remember the name of it. To get the 100% chameleon all you need is 5 grand soul gems, and 5 items, and access to the arcane university. It is amusing--for about 5minutes but is a real game killer. It is like being in god mode without cheating by using pc console commands.
Have you ever considered that the sole reason for your existance is to merely serve as a warning to others?

Yeah, your right, 101% reflect damage would make you succeptible to magical attacks. SO im going to post how to combine 101% reflect damage with 100% spell absorbtion

First, using the same trick at the Temple of the Ancestor Moth, get the Sorcerers Ring

Second, go into an oblivion gate, get up to the Silgius Sanguis (or whatever) and save right before you pick up the sigil stone (must be 25 or above-for trancendent) keep reloading your saves untill you find the stone with 20 points spell absorbtion. Add that to your favorite piece of armour and repeat 4 more times in 4 diff. oblivion gates untill you have a 5 piece set of spell absorbtion armor. This way, you recieve no damage from magical spells and 100% of the damage is absorbed into your own magical storage.

There your have it, 101% reflect damage, 100% spell absorbtion, NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER (the only thing that can possibly hurt you is bows, but who fights with bows?).

This is truly a GOD character without pc codes. but your right, it does make the game way to easy, its just gratifying to know that you can do it.

God-Like Abilities

I also enjoy using Chameleon as much as possible.
I never used any type of Chameleon abilities the first time I played Oblivion, but after loading Shivering Isles, I was having many Save issues (corrupt saves etc). So I reinstalled everything and started all over again.

Now I have a Crystalline Cuirass with 30% Chameleon, the Ring of Khajiiti with 35% Chameleon and Fortify Speed 10pts, and when needed, I take a home-made Chameleon potion (Master of Alchemy) that adds 44% Chameleon.
That actually totals 109% Chameleon.

So now when I sneak up and smack someone/thing with just about any weapon I have or want, I get 6pts Sneak Damage against them, and often kills the critter in a single blow. I don't know why I never used Chameleon before but I won't go anywhere without it now.

To top it all off, I also carry the Escutcheon of Chorrol that has Fortify Endurance 10pts plus Reflect Damage 35% .. both on Self. So I am pretty well protected even if my potion runs out before I'm done killing whatever it is I'm attacking.

Ya gotta love it !!
