Tactics/Items - Dispelling weapon abilities?

Post by Thrifalas »

Will the "dispel on hit" ability from soul reaver +6 and anti-paladins remove:

1. The poison damage from Water's Edge
2. The slow effect from Flail of Ages +5
3. The confusion effect from the blood spear you get from the Red Badge encounter

?

First of all I think you mean Carsomyr (both the +5 and +6 version have a dispel magic effect). Soul reaver is a +4 weapon and does not have a dispel magic effect (just a penalty on thaco for your opponent).

That said I think it does. I remember it dispelling the feeblemind effect on an enemy dragon. Haven't tested it though.

Edit: Just saw the img tag is turned off.

With "Items" I meant the item upgrade mod, which kind of combines Soul Reaver and Carsomyr into one badass weapon - the same mod that gives Water's Edge that *insane* stackable poison damage ability. But yeah, for the purpose of the discussion, let's say Carsomyr instead.

Do it dispel poisons, if applied by a weapon?

Ah, that why I haven't found any of these effects
You're right the poison effect probably isn't dispelled.
