Have you seen Emmindor in his tower? Use the Magic Mirror to gain entrance and he will tell you to take Galdryns Horn to Talendor. After taking the Horn to Talendor go back to Arindale and once you've seen Emmindor for the second time, Fargrove will be open.

Keeping track

I loved your last question War-Wiz ...

Playing this game is like going shopping, you have to keep checking the list ...

Remember to get the Blue Shield this time, and press the loose brick below the stairs to open the secret room. Get the Moonstone after getting the Dragon egg, visit Emindor before going back to fargrove, kill the demon log thrower on the way to Bolen fields, and try and remember to get the doll (correction its a flask) back to Erlinmir or whatever his name - damm forgot the Vison spell to find him - rewrite the list I've missed something again!

It's all about ... did you do this before you did that ... lol

PS how come every time I post (which isn't much yet) you are always giving worthy answers on the thread War-Wiz?

Cheers

Don't know how to insert quotes yet but you said ...

Yes I'm playing CE - big improvement on 1.4 which I used to play; as the critters are more nimble which makes the game feel much more alive.

In the Argalia quest you fight a ton of blue elves to get 4 runes to open up another section - and when you complete that bit you also open up access to a Blue Elven shield in the middle of the big 4 part room - that shield is good too at that stage of the game.

Also there is an Elven tree fort area between Fargrove and Arindale (new in CE) where you get a quest to kill some love warped demon guy, Malokan, and he throws logs at you, not like the tree critters branches just big fireplace logs.

After the tree fort section there is a guy, Erlinmir, you meet on the road and he had a flask stolen from him - my bad, I remembered it as a doll - so you find it near the dragons behind Arindale. He probably has a doll though.

Not sure about the blue shield but the other quests are not in 1.4

Personally I think CE is worth getting - it doubled my enjoyment of this brilliant broken game.

CE vs 1.4

The only thing I can think of right now that 1.4 had over CE is that the chests in the lakes were easier to spot when swimming under water  :)

Thanks. Couldn't recall where it was.
