Cant make Khelgar into a monk

I have done all of khelgars "vision quests" and I told the man at the temple of try, or whatever it is, in the merchant quarter. Nothing special happened after i told him that I completed the last quest, and the "khelgar has completed one of his tasks" dialog option is still there. Do I just wait for him to level up, or did the game mess up and glitch???
Any help is appreciated.


Edit: I finished the last quest in act II, could that be a problem?

if i recall right there is another dialog with khelgar, in which you use your influence to basically force him to change. Try talking to khelgar.

Yes, try talking to Khelgar, there should be a dialog option IIRC.

After finisheng Act II, you still can turn Khelgar into a monk. Proir Hlam would be standing outside the monastery if you wish to turn him into a monk. Personally, I think Khelgar makes a better fighter than he does a monk.
