I tried searching but...

Post by Hazzy »

I'm damned if I'm gonna sift through 77 pages of information I don't need, so I apologise if this thread has been made before. Okay so, I just completed the Kikinapped quest, and I tried going back to my Skyline Apt in Downtown but, for some weird unknown reason, the lift won't open. I looked through the patches but none of them seem to suggest that this is a known fault. So, has anyone here come across this and if so, how did you overcome it? I can't continue any quests because I can't get to my email. I didn't get a haven with Strauss because I'm not a Tremere. I'm pretty much stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You searched and found 77 pages, when I searched on skyline and found only 4. Interesting: perhaps you were looking in another board?

In any case: you make it sound as though you already had access {"back to my Skyline Apt in Downtown") but suddenly can't get in--right? Because that significantly alters the problem from having never had any access, at all. If the latter were the case, we'd have to ask whether you were playing a Nosferatu, who get a sewer haven (post-fu corporation).

Or perhaps the lift button doesn't respond, any longer? A little more fleshing out of your difficulty might make it easier, although some of these areas are covered in our search, and are easy to find.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I heard that this is a seldom random bug and would suggest you enter your flat via the air shafts that start in the cellar.

I was forced to do the same on more than one occasion. Interestingly, I was able to ride the lift down without any difficulty.

@ Fable - Yeah sorry about that, I was just frustrated and didn't think to word out my problem in a better format.

Anyway, I completely forgot about the air shafts. Thanks and sorry for being a nuisance. :o
