I have the Diamond edition of NWN. It has the expansions of Shadows Of Undertide and Hordes of Underdark. The pack also includes the 3 modules called, King Maker, Witches Wake and Shadow Guard.
The problem I am having is the update system on the welcome page of the game start up screen. it is the screen where you chose to plat or the settings etc.
The problem I have is the fact that when I try to update my game through the update section, it starts to update and it goes though the update all fine until it reaches the end, then I get a message telling me that following, also, this information is in red:
An incorrect version of the file was found on your system.
The update was unable to complete, since the file contents were incorrect.

I have disabled al my antivirus and firewall to ensure there is nothing blocking the successfull update, but it doesn't help. I have ran this several times and it still doesn't update correctly.
I have a strong feeling that it has to do with all the different expansions and modules that are entwined into the game. If all these expansions are in one game set and the update system is only set to updating the original NWN game, then it may not work.
My current game version is: 1.66.8074 English. I don't know know what else I can do. I went to the games Bioware home website and downloaded the other update tool they have for download.
The only problem is the fact that at bioware and other game websites I have looked at, they only have updates for the different expansions and modules separately and I failed to locate a complete update tool for the entire NWN Diamond version.
I have been reading the readme files that are in the system files for NWN and all the expansions, but they are for the different expansions. there is no readme file for the entire set. I am going to try and patch the different expansions separately and see if that helps.

Please don't bump your topic--and accusing people of being able to answer you but deciding to not do so isn't exactly the way to get answers, either. Your thread is still on the first page of this forum. Chances are, nobody can help you who has read here, yet.

I don't mean to be rude, but
I don't mean to be rude but can people who give a response actually give a response to the question and topic I need. I lead a very busy life and I don't have the time to read peoples responses who just like to talk about my manor and my feelings. That has nothing to do with this, I need an answer to a question and that is the point of this board, I post the other stuff for people to see to try and catch peoples attention in a hope that I will get some help, instead of waiting for over a week for someone who knows of what is being said actually replies. On other boards I have waited up to 4 or 5 weeks for a simple response just because the moderator didn't happen to notice my topic and ignored it completely. So as you can see, I have a valid reason to ask for a bit of leeway and some speedily results. I also PM the moderators personally, well the important ones anyway. that's all, now can people please stick to the questions at hand. Please no-one take any offense or feel that I am being rude in any way, it is just the way I am, I like to say things the way they are and not sugar coat everything acting like I am a yes person, that's all. thanks for your time.
