I'm here, I'm back again

Post by Kipi »
Well, here I am, I'm back again
From the Deadlands I descend'
back from the dead, back from The End
So, I'm finally getting my "normal" life back in order. Though not everything is fixed yet, and I'm still seeing the doctor once every two weeks, things are returning normal slowly. And that means I'm slowly coming back as active user... As the following quote says:
Killing me is not enough to make me go away
I'm the Suicider seeking for the End of Life
(But) killing me is not enough to cease the flame inside

Sooo... you just can't get rid of me, nevertheless how hard the world tried :D

I'm not going to be the most active in near future, but my plans are to raise my activity a bit every day, depending on my mood and feelings.

Oh, and I did get rid of both smoking and drinking *sips some beer not containing alcohol*. The worst part is already behind, though there still comes times when I would give anything for a cigarette or good glass of Vodka-redbull... But I can handle myself now... I think :D

So, now on you probably see me more.

Oh, and thank you all for the kind comments you have either posted or PMed me. Those meant a lot during those hard times.

So, cheers everyone! *takes another sip from the alcoholicless beer* :D

It's great to see you back, Kip - and congrats on kicking the cigarettes!
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

Hi Kipi,
and welcome back! It's good to hear that you are slowly getting better. I know from both personal experience and from living with somebody who has been prone to it over the past few years... that depression can be a tough beast to overcome. So hang in there, you are doing great!

btw, Sorry I never got back to you on the one PM you sent me re: a posting in OT, my own life has been pretty chaotic the last few months, and sometimes just coming up for air can be a challenge :D

Welcome back, Kip. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

I was away about one month, and you already forgot me? :(

j/k

Well, as my doctor said, I should try to find positive sides from everything. And after serious thinking yesterday evening, I managed to find several from the depression I had:
 1. I quited smoking
 2. I quited drinking
 3. I reduced the ammount of coffee I drink daily to around one cup, when it was near 10 cups each day
 4. I've succeeded in reducing the ammount of unhealthy food I've been eating to almost to zero. No more fast food, candies or such to me, unless in certain special situations
 5. I've succeeded in increasing my daily exercise to almost double to the past
So, yeah, even though I don't want to anyone to experience what I did during last couple of months, I actually ended up benefiting from it.

Oh, and visited the doctor today, and we had serious discussion whether I should quit taking the medicines or not. The result was that from tomorrow, I'm not taking them anymore, thanks to the fact that my states has increased greatly during last two weeks.

The things you are doing are certainly good Kipi, especially the exercise, which makes a huge difference!

I know a few people who are specialists in the field in one way or another, so I've benefited from their knowledge. Allow me me pass it along.. ;)
Make sure you get the right amounts of proteins and amino acids in your diet... Eating foods high in tryptophan and tyrosine is very important. There are also a number of different vitamins that help in lifting up moods and keeping them stable, notably B12, B6, C, E and a good multivitamin.

Oh, and I'll check out that video as soon as I'm able.. my computer has been acting up with videos lately, so I'll probably check it out on my son's if I can tear him away from WoW for a few minutes.. :D

Who was talking about diet? :p
I'm not fat, even though my daily food contained a lot of unhealthy sorts of food, mainly fast food and such. The change for me was to move from unregular unhealthy eating habits to eating four times a day good food. (Pasta, meat, salad, porridge, fish and so on...). Food can be unhealthy in many ways, like increasing chances to get different kind of blood pressure diseases and so on...

I suggest to drive your son out of the room in that case, especially if he isn't so keen about industrial death metal... and especially the aggressive side of that music style... :D

lol Kipi! ;)
When I employed the word "diet" I was using it in the general sense of the food you eat every day, not in reference to weight loss.

My son doesn't necessarily mind metal, death or otherwise. He's pretty mature about it, so no worries there. He's still fast asleep though.. so I need to wait a few hours.. I doubt this is something he wants to wake up to :D

So, there's a non-aggressive side to industrial death metal?  Welcome back, Kipi. :)

Take normal industrial death metal track, then about double the aggressiveness, and you have the result... :p
