Holiday Announcements

Post by Eerhardt »

I'm making good on a promise I made in another thread...
Eerhardt wrote: RL has a way of interfering with my posting :( , but I'm paving my way to Hell with good intentions - one of them being to post regularly now and at least leave a note in case of prolonged absence ;) :cool:
and announcing my short absence for about a week, starting tomorrow. I hope to return next week though :) .

Feel free to post your holiday leave here ;) .

P.S. I'll leave the Rolling Thunder ™ on auto-refill and the keys to Odie. Cheers! ** opens up another can of Duff in a toast **

The irony is that shortly after posting that my poor ol' 'puter crashed for the final time, meaning all threadtending duties were off the table. Got a new one hooked up at last, won't post about the hassles of being PCless for fear of language filter...What with uni books as well I feel somewhat poor... :(

I rise again!

Hehe, finally got around to getting the old account reactivated. :cool: :) Extra special thanks to the wonderful BuckGB for resurrecting my 'old self', and thanks to Fable for suggesting I PM him in the first place. Even got to transfer my posts from the das_hermit and Spanky accounts...no more online MPS for me!

@Ode,
Thing is... I thought that the name "Mr. Spanky" suited you so well... I was figuring you should adopt a Java scripted avatar of a monkey engaged with repeated er... self-flagellation.... :p

@Eerhardt,
Hope your holidays went well. Myself, I'm currently dealing with moving preparations and the like, so I've been popping in here somewhat infrequently *sigh*

I Am In A Very Bad Mood

The thought had occurred, especially since the Mr Spanky name was actually taken from a video game monkey. I still like being Odie better.

This week seems to be all about incompetence, today I had to sort out outstanding unit hassles from last semester, about a unit I had to sort out the same administrative hassles for about 5 times last semester. Not only have my results not been submitted, but it's showing up as worth one point less than it should be, which throws out my whole degree...also yesterday I had to clean a lovely little runny 'surprise' that some random had left on the door of the shop I tend. It's the second time it's happened, apparently my little shop looks like a hobo toilet. Very disgusting, and not really worth it for Aus$10 an hour.

Today's grand adventure was finding out that the DVD with all my (mostly irreplaceable) files from my old computer that I needed to start my soon-to-be-due uni assignments, as well as the other accumulated PC stuff from several years of uni, in fact has the wrong files on it, with all the useless junk I didn't want or need anymore, and now I can't hand in my project plan on Friday as required. I clearly, explicitly and repeatedly said to the techie NOT to put the My Documents folder on the disc, set up a different one with "FOR TRANSFER" written on it, I even got her to repeat the instructions back to me, but lo and behold! I still got the wrong files, and am now totally stuck. :mad:
If she's thrown out the hard drive then I'm right screwed... :(

It's "Georgiisgreat"... ;) Actually that's a lie... :D

Don't suppose you still have that animated Odie avatar I was using a while back perchance? The present NERV logo, while doubtless very cool, is also my current desktop background and so is starting to feel a little overused.

Actually, I think that would work better for your avatar, Gi. :)

Thank you sweetheart:angel:, but I seem to recall you had a resized one that would actually be allowed as a GB avatar, as opposed to being over twice the maximum pixels... ;) :p
I'd do it myself but I'm a technophobe and swearing at my computer doesn't seem to be working...
