The sword of Aeons

Post by beneeboi »

I remember from finishing the game (3 - 4 years ago) when i first purchased fable - that you have to make a choice at the end of the game, the choices being good or evil. and to get the sword of aeons you needed to make the Evil choice.

i have been playing the entirity of my new game as a good character and i want to get the sword of aeons.

If i were to choose the evil desiscion and receive the sword of aeons what effects will this have on the gameplay? :

How much evil points will i get by making this choice?

Will my entire time with this character as a good person mean nothing all because of this desiscion?

Will the townsfolk be scared of me, and will the one-day getting over it thing apply to this desiscion?

Will i be wanted by the guards?

Will i be able to make myself 100% Good once again?

Yep, you can choose to either kill your sister, or cast it into the vortex and destroy it forever (though you can get a sword just as good called Avo's Tear, but only in TLC]

The impact on gameplay is that people around you will say 'you hold the might Sword of Aeons'.

You get quite a good bit of evil points, let's just say if you're 100% good you'll be about -50 evil, I think! But if you donate enough at the Temple of Avo (or do good enough deeds) then people won't be scared of you.

As for the guards comming after you, guards never come after you no matter what you do (unless you kill one or commit a crime in a town or the guild)

And not only will the people not be scared of you if you donate/do good stuff, but you can get 100% good again. However, if you'd like to keep your char good (if you have TLC) then i'd say chuck it and just get Avo's Tear, which is super easy. Basically, you just examine the stuff in Maze's study, and then read the headstones in the courtyard and you get it. It's 100% exactly the same as the Aeons one, but it's "good" instead of "evil" and looks a bit different. If you don't have TLC on the other hand, then it doesn't really matter if you get the Aeons or not, b/c then the game's basically over and there's not much left to do.

Oh cool thanks, i dont have TLC. i just recently got Xbox Games to work on my 360 and i decided to start playing fable again... its been a while since i last played it so yeah im having trouble remembering parts of the game. and ill probably end up making an evil character once i finish the last Gold quest.

If this helps, by playing good and ending evil you get a unique end cinematic where the guild master's narration is all surprised and he's like "despite a life of good deeds, the hero fell to temptation."

But to answer your question, it does give you a load of evil points, but nothing you can't get rid of in time, and otherwise it has no significant effect on the game.
