Hi.
I have a couple of questions. Thanks in advance for your help.
1. How do I get Imoen to actually disable traps instead of just finding them?
2. How to put spells into Quick Spell slots?
3. I've had Dynaheir memorize several offensive spells. Is it possible to get her to auto-cast spells when my party is attacked? If so, what offensive spells would she use? Also, my understanding is that spells expire after they are used and you have to rest to regain them. What happens if she uses up all her spells while in combat? Basically I don't want to micromanage her all the time.
4. Dynaheir has a high Lore score. How come she cannot identify any items? Or can this only be done with a spell?
5. Is it possible to get my party to walk faster?

Hi there and welcome.
Been awhile that i played BG but i will try and alittle
1. to disable trap you have to first click on the Thieving Icon when you have Imoen selected.
2. Right click on a quick spell icon then select the spell you want.
3. sorry not sure on this one.
4. Never used Dynaheir for this i used Garrick for this, so no help there.
5.if this is what you mean...Open up the BGconfig and increase the frame rate,
This will increase the overall game speed so every thing speeds up.
Have fun

Okay shootdavid5182 wrote: I have a couple of questions. Thanks in advance for your help.
After you found the trap (a large red area is on the floor/ on a door or something) click the button next to find traps. Scroll your cursor over the trap and you will see it change. Click and your thief (Imoen in this case) will try to disarm the trap. She will have to stand right next to it. So watch that no enemy comes into sight (maybe you want to set some autopause options on). If the thief is skilled enough (iirc find traps is also used for disarm traps), the trap will be disarmed. Notice that you can fail and even set off a trap. Some traps stay up after setting them off others go away. There are even some traps you can't disarm this way.david5182 wrote: 1. Right click on the Quick spell slot. You will see all your memorized spells (you do have them memorized do youdavid5182 wrote: 2. How to put spells into Quick Spell slots?
Yes you can. Go to your record sheet (with the large portrait, your stats and everything) and choose customize and then scripts. You can choose then out of a variety of scripts available. Iirc you can also write your own scripts. Not sure how though. Also make sure that your party ai is on if you want to use scripts. It is a lantern in the lower right corner of your main screen.david5182 wrote: 3. I've had Dynaheir memorize several offensive spells. If your mage uses up all his spells the script will tell him what to do. Most likely it will tell him (her) to switch to a (ranged) weapon.
Every identifiable item has a Identity score (not sure about the name). Your lore score has to be higher then that. This simply means you are not experienced enough. Lore is gathered through 2 ways. Bonus lore, for your Inteligence and wisdom you get more lore (or penalties if too low). Experience lore, every level you get 10 (Bard), 3 (Mage/thief) or 1 (everything else) lore.david5182 wrote: 4. Yes but both through cheating (I don't consider bluestorm's answer correct, since you probably don't want the enemy to speed up as well). Open your savegame in a game editor and edit the movement rate. Or Clua in some boots of speed (there is one pair of boots somewhere in the game). I will not discuss the how here.david5182 wrote: 5. Damn Bluestorm was in front of me
