cant rest or save

hiya im having problems i cant rest or save after encountering a group of slaver and orgs? at the city gates

any ideas?

Whenever you are on your way to an area and you get "waylaid", the encounter occurs in an area that exists *between* two areas. The game does not allow you to rest or save in areas like that because it would create problems with scripting. You need to go to another area, and then you will be able to save.

have tried this hve pretty much jumped around the map and it still wont let me do it. its like its stuck?

Try resting in an inn or reloading the autosave.

Are you using any mods Tash? I ask 'cos when running the Amber mod this happened to me when she was scripted to leave the party.

mods? not as far as im aware

and when i say i cant save or rest i mean anywhere, not at in not outside, cant save by going to main menu or quick save

nuffin, i thin it hates me

Perhaps try going to an earlier save and see if maybe the problem didn't start there yet.

I have had this problem occasionally if I forget to install the final official patch and Baldurdash (or Gibberlings 3) fix pack..

If you haven't already, I suggest downloading the official patch and one of the two fix packs I mentioned.
