ming must die help!!!

in the ming must die quest i'm stuck please help. i killed everyone i could find then i jumped down to a lower level wheres theres like a water wheel device and a set of double doors with a board slid across locking them , i cant seem to find a way to slide the board out of the way to open them. an icon shows up that seems like it would slide the board but i cant seem to activate it .PLEASE HELP . i've tried about al i know .thank you for the help. :eek:

That's a famous bug which can be solved by several means: 1) save and reload, many people stated that the bar can be moved afterwards, 2) use the console to noclip through the door or 3) install the unofficial patch (basic or full) and then load a saved game from before that level, this will move the bar aside.

The Ming door question

Some people have trouble with it because you're NOT supposed to active the "open" button or anything. You have to physically push the lever sideways to open the door. I struggled with that until I found that out. Ignore the "activate" button and slide the bar sealing the door first.

Just walk into it and push it -- the same as you would do in real life. ;)

That's the way to do it but still for many people the bar does not move. In that case choose one of my suggestions.
