Exporting Chars from IWD to IWD II

Post by Armycardinal »

Ok - I solved IWD and want to keep my characters to play in IWD II. How do I do this?

Thanks all.

I'm pretty sure that you can't. IWD2 uses a completely different D&D rule set, Third Edition instead of Second Edition, so transferring characters into the second game is not an option.

Also, while the two games share a number of areas they are not really related to one another at all, and IWD2 takes place during a later time period. Somebody else will know the exact figure, but suffice to say that your characters would be old and doddering, so it wouldn't make any sense from a chronological standpoint either.

At least, not without some converting, and that would mean more or less recreating the characters again, only at higher level. And I haven't heard of such converter, so I say it's impossible.

I could be wrong, but I think it was somewhere between 50 to 80 years...
SPOILER!!
Spoiler
I think someone calculated that basing to different dialogies in IWD 2 as well as what was written in the gravestones in the Kuldahar Pass...
