question about shiv. isles (spoilers)

Post by Tool »

i have a quick question that is probably very stupid.

at the very beginning when you pick which world to enter, can you ever go in the other world? I picked Dementia and when I went through, I saw the other Gate also coming into Dementia. When I went back to Passwall and through the other gate, surely enough it looked like Dementia. or am i just missing something?

The doors you go through aren't different worlds but rather different alignments. One is good and one is evil (I think Dementia is the evil one), and whichever one you go through is a permanent label in Sheograth's Domain. If you go through Mania, Dementia citizens will usually immediately disdain and or hate you.

thats what i needed to know. i know they were the same worlds but had different orientations (for lack of a better word). i just wanted to know if once you made the choice, the world permanently aligned with Dementia or Mania.

finally, some choices in Oblivion. finally, some replay value.

Well barely. What I describe is what one would think is in oblivion, it's supposed to be there, but as with all the other oblivion stuff, they really didn't implement the stuff that all member want or would expect. But meh, it's still a playable game.

(I just wish they kept the game like they advertised in the trailers for guilds and such. Where you can't just join a guild but rather they have to find you and advertise it to you if they think you're cut out for it, I can't believe they didn't keep that awesome of an idea).
