Hello everyone.
I have researched several forums and many posts regarding the Shivering Isles side quest called "The Coming Storm". I am playing on a PC.
I have found the same answer quoted in all of them but nothing has helped me succeed at completing the mission.
No matter what I do, I cannot get all three lanterns lit.
I admit, I don't really know how to properly use a Telekinesys scroll, but whether I use it or not I keep dropping the darn torch.
I have also tried taking a Potion to increase my speed, but again I only keep dropping the torch before I get far.
Needless to say, any lantern that does get lit, ends up going out before I get to all of them.
So I am kindly requesting a HINT here to explain in detail how I can complete this quest before I go "bonkers".
Furthermore, even if the solution does not require the use of telekinisys, I'd appreciate it if someone could also describe for me how to properly use/utilize telekinesys.
Thanks in advance to all those who reply (soon please).

Okay .... so no one has an answer ... but that's okay. I seem to have figured it out although, I must admit I'm not sure what I did that was different than any other attempt. However, I think keeping an eye on the torch (i.e. don't turn too fast) by keeping it centered on your screen, makes a difference as to how easily (or not) you drop the torch (or any other item one might grab .... no no no ... don't go "there" !!!!!!!!).
I have to admit, I still never used the Telekinesis for this mission and in fact, after multiple attempts to do so, am firmly convinced that the torch cannot be picked up and/or moved with this effect.
I'll continue to search other posts to find instructions on the use of Telekinesis.

You may need to allow more time for people to post. Or consider placing your request up on the Elder Scrolls Oblivion forum. There's a lot of spam on it, but it does have the quickest response time for any Oblivion board--not surprising, considering that it's the developer's.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
