Alchemy Anyone?

Post by phxhawk »

Any tips on where to find the alchemy trainer? Skill level does affect potion strength/effect.

Thanks in advance

If I remember right, Cathalon should have one. If not, sorry for the misinformation.

And since names are always randomly generated for any NPC, I couldn't give you more information even if I wanted to.

I finally found the alchemy trainer in Rovant village. He is a Necromancer and also teaches stone skin as well as necromancy.

i thought alchemy and stone skin were both skills that were mandatory and available from the start of the game. Exactly how random are things in the game?

Maybe it depends on which version you're playing. So far as I know, for the U.S. release version 1.5, your character always starts out the same, and you never start with alchemy or stone skin.

I have the Steam version of the game, so there is no manual (so don't tell me just to read the manual, unless you can suggest where to get one). I have purchased the alchemy skill, but have no idea how to use it. Are recipes needed? Where does one get them, if so? If not, how the heck do I make anything??

I found the Steam version manual - you have to right click the title in the "my games" tab. Only by a web search could I find that though. I had been launching it directly, not through the Steam console, and wouldn't have thought of right-clicking in any case.
