How Low Can U Go?

at the elder scrolls forums there was someone who killed vivec at lvl 1 and said "next up, dagoth ur" but i never heard about him killing it. as for me, i never really get into the main quest until i'm about level 30-35. i just like all the items that factions give me. so i have to get those before doing anything. which usually means i have to level up a lot so i can get to the rank i need.
When a few people die, it's a tragedy. When thousands do, it's a statistic.

I have.
That's kind of insulting... >.>
There's a guy that beat it in seven minutes and thirty seconds.
Here's his YouTube video. When the screen goes black it's either an intervention spell or a loading screen. Here's the link: YouTube - Morrowind Speedrun

Well the guy in that video clearly cheated, and I'm not referring to the fact that the video was accelerated. Equipping Sunder without Wraithguard = minimum 51 damage, equipping Keening likewise, total 102 damage, maximum total 250, average about 175. So it's obvious he used the CS beforehand to remove the scripts on those items.Crenshinibon wrote:I have.

And how many hours did he (and you can almost guarantee it was a he, and about 13 or 14 probably) waste pllanning that, how many failed attempts? Why do people waste their time on such silly activities?

A friend of mine calls it "testosterone poisoning." I think she's at least partly right.. it's what happens when young teen males have no more constructive way of channeling their raging hormones.galraen wrote: And how many hours did he (and you can almost guarantee it was a he, and about 13 or 14 probably) waste pllanning that, how many failed attempts? On topic though, through normal play, and tackling the main quest first, I think my lowest level beating Ur was somewhere between 10 and 15, I can't precisely recall.
Not that I view this as "beating" the game...
It's practically impossible to truly "beat" a game like Morrowind. And why would you want to rush to climax just a few minutes in anyway?

too true, dragon. i think that it is silly to just race through the game. it just sucks the fun out of it. it is much more fun to just run through it. without cheating, and without shortcuts.dragon wench wrote: It's practically impossible to truly "beat" a game like Morrowind. I'll leave this thread open, despite having been bumped (which we don't allow), if it sticks to the question posed at the top of the thread. If it's going to turn into a discussion of other matters, it will be closed.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I just finished at level 58!
I took pleasure in wandering for hundereds of hours, randomly or while completing some of the many side-quests. It'd be a waste to cheat in order to be able to rush thru a game as rich in detail and texture, that has plots within plots within plots, such as Morrowind. But...whatever floats your boat.

thanks for posting that video. i only beat the main quest once and had to delete my save in an attempt to debug my file (it didn't work). i forgot how the game ended, but now i can watch whenever i want! not really, but its still fun to reminisce.
and just to stay on topic, i was in the 40's i believe, but that was almost 2 years ago

i like going slow and following every little detail...
i jumped an awfull lot to get the extra points to levle up as much as possible ( so i dk if i count lol ) ... i only strayed from the main quests in the begining when Caius tells you too...other than that i worked on only the main quest...
mine is not a record i have only beat Morrowing once but by the time i got to Dagoth i was a levle 24...
