Odd Item

Post by swcarter »

I was playing Two Worlds tonight, and I came across an odd item. It was called a "kindschal." I thought it was a dagger at first, but then when I wielded it, it went to the box under the quiver (where I hadn't seen anything go before). So now I sort of suspect that it's a bolt quiver, and that at one point crossbows were going to be in the game. Has anybody else found any strange items like that?

That's....odd, especially considering a kindschal is a rapier.

This is off topic, but is Two Worlds any good? All the reviews i've read don't portray the game very favourably, but reviews often can't be trusted. Would you recommend it?

I was in the middle of posting a response here when I figured it out. The kindschal is a regular dagger (at least in the game), and the slot under the quiver is the dagger slot. The trick is that you only wield your dagger if you're in sneak mode. At other times you wield whatever regular weapon you have equipped. That's sort of odd, but it makes sense.

Yeah, this is off topic, so why post this here?

Odd, but at least you found the use.

Meh, you just solved a major problem for me, that slot under the quiver was driving me nuts. Odd game in general when it comes to items if you ask me with all this combining etc.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Well, given that some foes are resistant or immune to specific damage types (eg. skeleton's are immune to slashing but weak to bludgeoning) I'd say you'd probably want to go with multiple damage types, or at least have decent magical backup.

From what I've seen, two-handed weapons that do two types of damage are best. I usually use halberds.
