2) Look at the mod sticky at the top of the page. Links are there. Plenty remain in effect, though the Pocket Plane Group has probably the best meta-mod site with links that I've seen.
Now, if you want opinions about an individual mod, feel free to ask. But as this thread duplicates stuff that's easy to find, it's closing in all neighborhoods near you.
