Happy Birthday, DW. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

lol! Thanks guys! :D

Wish I could say I was having a great day and all of that, but I'm still recovering from a very nasty flu bug.. :rolleyes: *sigh*
We were going to celebrate on Saturday but I became really ill on Friday, and my SO is away until Thursday evening.. So hopefully this coming Friday we'll be able to uncork a few bottles ;)

@Ode,
we have actually just sold our place, it appears, and with some luck we'll be all set to move for October 31. Figures... Halloween.. :laugh:

Thanks BS ;)

Yes of course Halloween must be a good omen.... Maybe I can convince my SO to dress up as a pumpkin and station himself at the front door handing out candy while I go hide somewhere :p

Have him dress up as Pennywise from the It movies. It'll save you a lot of candy :D

:eek: Nothing like starting off life in the new neighbourhood with a bang, lmao!
Hmm... I wonder if that would work with various solicitors as well? See.. it is weird getting my head around the fact that this is actually a house we'll be living in. For years, home as been some kind of condo in a secured entry building, so we haven't had our Saturday mornings interrupted by people trying to sell us everything from religion to vacuum cleaners. Now I have to think of tactics for dealing with them.
....... maybe I could hire Des as a doorman? :p ;)

@OS,
thanks ;)

Happy Birthday DW!

With the way real estate is costing here in BC I'm sure you made a pretty decent profit.

All the best with the new house.

@Z,
thanks ! :)

The price of real estate in the Lower Mainland and Southern Island (where we are moving) has become totally obscene... It actually really disgusts me.. I often wonder how on earth people manage to live here; rentals are sky high too.
We bought the place we just sold pre-construction (ground had not even been broken).. and for Vancouver it was very reasonable at the time. A successful Olympic bid, and a few short years later... and *chokes*
However, let's just say because of some of the circumstances we've recently come through... this sale is quite welcome.
