Heavy Framerate Drop(SPOILERS)

Hiya,

It seems I have the same problem as this guy here

Though nobody seemed to be able to give him any advice back then. To be a little more exact, the framerate begins to drop once I enter Ust'Natha and seems to get worse and worse from then on. Any Savegame I load before entering Ust'Natha works just fine. My hardware is more than enough to run three instances of BG2, so that can't be the problem :>

Any ideas what could be the cause of this issue and how to fix it?

Well, guess what... *Dying* actually fixed the problem. No kiddin'
I wanted to try if the framerate drop would also apply to other areas in my case, so I went to the Beholder Lair. My party got killed, and when I reloaded, the problem was solved. Guess death does solve problems. This puts suicide in a whole new perspective :>
