I've read that a touch spell counts like a melee strike. According to the SRD it even is supposed to be possible to score a critical that way. I'm not sure if that last bit also applies to NWN2. Questions, questions.

I've ran into the same question about weapon finesse with my wizard. To make it short: you do no get any benefit from it.
It seems that casting a touch spell does not count as unarmed combat (otherwise weapon finesse would help), so chances are high, that the unarmed combat feats do not provide any benefit too.

Minor update. As of Motb (or patch 1.10, I can't tell for sure) you can get a weapon focus in Touch Attack. I'm still not sure about Finesse, but if this works there'll probably be further weapon specialisations here.
The possibilities are very interesting, especially with clerics since they get the best touch spells. Heal/Slay living, poison and some more things. Combine at least ten cleric levels (after spell level five you stop gaining touch spells) with another melee class and extend your spell slots at your leisure. That would make for a really interesting play style.

You can also get Improved (and as far as I can remember Power as well) Critical both in melee and ranged touch attack. The main difference is, that you can score crit touch attack on anything - even on those, who are immune to crit hits.
But of course you cannot have weapon spec in touch attack (it would not make any sense). Have to yet check wether zen archery benefits ranged touch. That would be fun

It more likely works for invocations though. And I don't think you'd be able to get Rapid Shot that way.
