Need help with BG

Hello, i recently bought a pack of all the baldur's gate games in one package. (in a store in Norway) i installed Baldur's gate and Tales of the sword coast. and when i tried to play it a error message came up and said: "Wrong version, this version only runs in Canada and the United states!"

what can i do to get it fixed?

You can try changing your computer settings so that it thinks you are in Canada or the United States.

Actually you can also install the correct (languege wise) patch. It did work for me.

Just to info everyone who has this problem (I had), in some cases that's not enough. For me, it gave error about correct English version. I had to change everything to relate US, even the thing about Unicode... After that, and rebooting, BG and TotSC worked perfectly.

Anyone found a solution? I don`t want to change my whole operation system settings to get playing

TotSC Patches

Just install the correct patch for your region (I believe that there's a European version, but if not, get the 'International' version).

So! The patch is installed, but only get a ****load of errormessages. Like this : An Assertion failed in D:/Dev/Baldur/UIControlButtons.cpp at line number 302.

This is driving me MAD!

this may or may not help. He has the same error, but I don't see him getting out of it.
