2 questions please.

1. Is there a certain time you have to move on to different areas. I have been exploring the areas of Candlekeep, Crossroads, Friendly Arms Inn, East of Candlekeep and I'm now in Beregost. I'm on Chapter One and it's day 7. I'm asking because Jaheira keeps whining about getting to Nashkel.

2. I've been resting in the wilderness most of the time, but I just rented a room at the Burning Wizard, but when I hit the rest button, I get a message that I can not rest here, that I need to rent a room or camp outside of town. I've already rented the room. What am I doing wrong?

There is a timed quest associated with one of the NPCs you can add to your party, but it isn't Jaheira.

You actually heal/sleep while renting the room from the innkeeper, not by doing anything in any of his rooms. Those are for show, or for interaction with other guests and their, well, items.

I have had her and Khalid walk out on me. However, if they do, it doesn't mean that you cannot complete the game. There are others who will join your party.

Thanks guys. That really helps. I spent over 2 hours last night trying to figure out how to sleep in an Inn. Finally gave up and posted here. Wish I would have done it an hour sooner.lol
