why can't i hear them?

i am using bgtutu. i can barely hear the npc speech of any kind. how do i fix that? is there some setting in the text file? i've looked around and havn't found anything. i have the "banter" always on but i can just barely hear them. i want to hear minsc!!! :mischief:

Have you checked your sound settings? You might have music turned up loud and the rest turned to low.

i've double and triple checked. i have the music low and the rest high

oh yea. i have the environmental souds turned down as well. damn crickets ;p
