where do i find the iron throne main building?

Post by akridian »

i'm stuck somewhere in BG. right in front of the flaming fist's door actually. the guy there just told me to go find the iron throne place. i've looked through the walkthrough but don't see what i'm looking for. any heap would be great. i'm probably just overlooking something right?
thanks for your time. i never seem to have enough of my own.

ok figured out what to do/where to go. now i need help finding the Thieves' Warrens. i've looked everywhere. i would have thought they were connected to the sewers somehow but no luck in finding them. can anyone help me please? the walkthrough doesn't say where it is located.
thanks for your time. i never seem to have enough of my own.

Talk to people around Sorcerous Sundries (In the first part of Baldur's gate Proper) I won't tell you too much as it will spoil the game for you. Usually you are given big hints as to what you need to do next. However one of the best things about Baldur's Gate is that you can do things in different order every time you play. Some of the quests you just blunder into, so just wandering around, talking to people etc. is well worth doing. You also get a few laughs along the way as a bonus. So, if you can't find a place straight away, my advice is: don't worry too much. You're new to the city so it is not surprising if you get lost occasionally. Just enjoy the experience.

ok i went and talked to tamoko. she told me about slythe and kristen. i have already killed them so i didn't need to go do that. i went back to the flaming fist compound to help the poisoned duke. he had me take him to the harbor master. i dropped off the duke but now where do i go. if i do too much wandering around trying to figure it out i get attacked. the guards don't like me and neither does the flaming fist

thanks for pointing me in the right direction so far wise grimwald. much appreciated

SPOILERS Highlight to read.
Don't worry about the Flaming Fist not liking you. That's part of the plot. There are various ways of avoiding them. One is to travel via the sewers, the other is to use your character with the boots of speed to lure them away from the main party. If you get arrested by the Fist, it is not the end of the world.
When Tamoko spoke to you, she should have told you about Cythandra who is on the top floor of the Iron Throne Building. You need an item from her.
It's too late for you now, but it is easier to explore Baldur's Gate before you become public enemy number 1.
The Iron Throne Building is located in the NW corner of the area to the East of the Fist HQ. I presume that you picked up an invitation from Slythe. If not you have problems. They are not insurmountable but do make it more difficult.
The invitation gives you a clue as to what else you should be doing.
