Technical Problem(!)

Post by fr3ddy »

My System Spec:

Vista 32bit, Quad Core, nvidia 8600 GTX, SigmaTel High def sound, 4mb L2 cache, 4.2GHz.

My Problem:

Whenever I create a character, and I went to the appearance section, it just crashed horribly...

Is it because I put the graphic settings to 32 bit? shall i turn it down to 16 bit?

I really like 2D Forgotten Realm RPG, so someone plz help me so i can enjoy another classic RPG.

What version of DirectX are you running? I've had some trouble running older games like IWD with too "good" a version.

This definitely looks like a graphics issue.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a post post about exactly the same poblem. So you're not the only one. Sad but true we do not know if this problem has been fixed for the original poster.

As Aerich said, this looks like a graphics problem. First of all you should update your graphics card drivers to the newest release.

Second you should try if the game would crash in window mode too (to switch just press Alt-Enter while the game is running) and in lower screen resolutions (1024 x 768 works fine for me).

Third you should play around with the graphic options in the options menu.
