Saving and space problem

Post by Obike Fixx »

Hey

I recently began playing this game, and I think it's ok so far. But I've found out that the game saves on my C: Drive and I have preciously little space remaining there.
Is there any way to make the game save information etc. on another drive or something - maybe through the .ini file or something? It really bugs me, as all my saves are apparently gone now.

You're not the first one with this problem and it seems there is no solution beyond moving your whole "my documents" folder to another partition. The nwn2.ini file contains an option to change the save folder but doing so crashes the game (at least until patch 1.06).

If you have any additional drives on your comp, (not E or F) but a D drive for instance - you could save all/any games you install on there. It saves enormous space rather than storing games/misc program files all on the C drive. Then you could arrange any game-based folders from the rest of the misc. folders after separating all the games.

About 2-3 yrs ago, that's how both my comps got reformated. :) It saves ALOT of aggravation - not sure how your's set up though. But i think it's worth paying a 'lil' extra for. It actually works 2 ways for me, since im neat-freak :D
