In the final battle, the guy with the arrows...

Post by Hejmen »

I'm at the final battle, and I can manage to draw the man the with the arrows away by himself with out drawing anyone else but he keeps killing us. Everyone is level 7 except Minsc who is 6, is that to low or something? Because those arrows, or whatever it is that causes the big rings of fire to appear keeps killing us. Any suggestions?

Trey having a thief hidden in shadows, ready to backstab. Try having your party scattered out so that if the fireball hits, it won't damage all your members at once. If you have any wands, use them now. Wands in BG are incredibly powerful and you should take full advantage of them, especially when soloing. Since this is the last battle, you should let loose and use as many charges as you can. Stun helps a lot. The necklace of missles if you have it is amazing. The wands of fire, lightning and frost and of course the wand of monster summoning. Summon monsters and skeletons to help tank. And remember, all you need to do is to take out Sarevok. If he dies, the battle is over.

Two other solutions.
1: Cast protection from magic on him.
2: Use fireballs, necklace of missiles etc. to kill him before he sees you.

Thank-you so, so much, it took me long enough but FINALLY I managed to beat the final battle. I didn't actually know that killing Sarevok finished the battle...yeah I never did manage to kill the guy with the arrows, I ended it up just drawing Sarevok away and killing him, using my summon monster spells to keep him from killing all of us.

Again thank-you SO much, both of you! :)

Congratulations on finishing. It is quite difficult the first time through. One of the best things about the game is that there are so many ways of playing it that you can play it for years without repeating yourself. You can have different numbers of party members, different alignments, killing the maximum number of people that you can, killing nobody etc. etc. Have fun !!!
