I have problem with 1st shard.
I have retrieved it from ruins and returned to village but when I speak to Daegun he says that why did I return empty-handed. but I have the shard with me, in inventory?
where is the problem?
I have NWN + Mask installed. ver 1.10.
thank you
1st shard
After you retrieve the shard you need to talk to Bevil to trigger the (automatic) transition back to the village.
This can be done either in the cut-scene which plays after you find the shard, or by talking to him manually, if you selected the conversation option which was about looking around some more.

This is just an idea, but observing how many of these triggers aren't launching well after people installed MotB. I've come to think playing w/o the expansion installed might rid some of the bugs...not entirely sure.
But after the past week. I also have been experiencing noticable bugs on the original OC just after installing the expansion. Such as missing npc's, KoS final battle not triggering, possibly a few others during gameplay. I also tried to launch triggers manually, but I'm not that savvy w/ the game's console.
Like I said before though, I haven't tried this myself nor have I seen any posts saying anyone's tried this yet. I can't test this if it works since my expansions still being played/experimented with. I do remember though getting through the OC perfectly fine before installing or even before it came out.
*This maybe flawed though, not saying it is, but the final patch may have some part in it.*

''White light beams through darkness, beset by immense haze over a few seconds followed by a loud cacophony. Motionless, the repercussion of your action strikes your feebled mind and senses. Still dazed, the intensity lingers that follows after tripping over your own sonic blind trap.''
OK I have it. the non-trigger problem with first shard was that I went to swamp manualy via world transport. so I started a new game and after talking with daegun I´ve spoken to Bevil and he has teleported me to swamp, and after that everything was OK. the sequence with me getting the shard was played and after that I haven´t noticed any problems with the game.

<snip>
Many people had problems with triggers not firring prior to MotB.
It is just MotB have brought in many new (or returning) people, thus an influx of people playing equals more people which run into problems
