Stuck in the Resevoirs

Post by mberry »

I am at the point where I am in the electrefied water and need to climp the ladder to get back on the catwalk. However I keep dying before I can get up the ladder. This is just before you have to turn off the fan and swim for it. What am I doing wrong.

With spoilers...

Probably nothing other than you're not being quick enough about it. If you're at full health, you should be able to make it, just don't hesitate... decide to climb and go for it! But if not it might be a good idea to use a blood bag and give yourself some health before attempting the ladder. There's pretty much no timing nor any means to avoid taking electrical damage; you can only hope to be quick to minimize the amount of damage you take, and you will take some.

If you have a save game further back, there IS a way to prevent this all together...

and that is to run across the falling walkway, and jump when you're about 2/3 of the way across. This would prevent you from falling into the lower level entirely, thus avoiding the climb and electrical damage altogether.

You don't really need to climb the ladder if you don't fall from the bridge, and you won't fall from the bridge if you (1. have a game saved before you fall) and (2) you just jump before the bridge collapses like if you knew it in advance for some supernatural reason :)
Climbing the ladder with the electrical bolts shooting up and down is difficult... and unnecessary. You start on the bridge, just jump the falling section! It's not that difficult if you know you have to do it

(Edit: what kind of kindred are you playing? Fortitude may help if you have it) (Only way to soak electrical damage... )
Where we came from, we don't know
Where we're going.... (even worse)
And about who we could be, we actually have trouble in clearly defining the term "to be" in the first place...
