Just started reading up on the crafting/enchanting system but haven't been able to find an answer about enchanting items that already have magical properties. Can you add enchantments onto a magic item that already has three magic properties?
For example, if I had a weapon that was already +3, keen, and say +1d6 cold damage, could I add enchantments onto that item? Or is it not possible? But let's say the weapon only had +3 and keen, could I enchant one more magical property onto it?
Thanks.
Enchanting magic items?
Not sure if my post was clear enough, sounds a bit confusing I guess.
Say I had a Death's Handmaiden Scythe, which is a magical weapon with three special properties of +4 enhancement, keen, and vampiric regeneration +3. Is it possible to add any enchantments onto this item through the crafting skills/feats, since it already has 3 properties on it?
Now, say I had a Stonefire Axe +2, which is also a magical weapon but one that only has two special properties, being +1d6 fire damage and +2 ehancement. Since this only has two special properties, is it possible to add one (or more) enchantments onto this weapon?

It depends what type of metals you use, theres another thread with a similar topic. Most weapons you can only have up to 3 enchantment slots depending on how powerful it is. And if you add a different enchantment, the oldest one of the previous 3 gets replaced.
