where to get hydrogenum / vermillion?

I need vermillion for most potions, and hydrogenum for some too, but I don't know where to get either from... what book do I have to read to find out where to obtain them?

They are optained from many sources, both mineral and plant and monster parts.
I'll check in my game once I get home from work, lest others have written it before then.
