Grymlock Not home
Grymlock Not home
I went to talk 2 grymlock, but can't find him. I know i,m at the right place; the red tower close to the rune forge. This is not the first time something like this happened 2 me. I didnt get 2 complete my Dragon and Tiger quest because What's his face and theBounty Hunter were also nowhere to be found. I can live with that, but if i hafta start the whole game over, im gonna be pissed! I also tried going to earlier save slots to get 2 grymlock with no results. When i tried doing this to complete my dragon/tiger quest, the game kept freezing up. Any help or suggestions are very appreciated! Thanx!
Did you climb to the top of the tower?? Just seeing if it isn't something obvious..
You might not get to do as many dragon/tiger quests as you want depending on what 5 classes you have.
You should always be able to do the egg and the help the dishonored lady (inn) quests. For those you can get tiger/dragon heraldry.
But if you don't have an oriental class then you can't do anything more...

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

When did the game freeze? Was it while you were battling a ninja (red kung-fu enemy)? They have a BUG that causes the game to lock up every other time!
If Grymlok isn't at his tower, he may be somewhere in the area around the tower. Sometimes he walks all the way south to the water, which can be irritating. If you have many points in the Scout skill or a Crystal of (Infra-)Vision, you can use the minimap to detect his location.

Thanks 4 your help. I went to get the shadow crystal from the ilsand in the sea of woe, and when i came back i ran into grymlock. My game would freeze up every time i neared the campfire where the assasin and what's his face were fighting. The one time i did get to explore the area without my game freezing, they were nowhere to be found! Now Im trying 2 find a quick way to kill the athena bashers!

[...] I mean, even a single test player (=me) would have found that one... and you're saying it freezes even before you have a chance to do anything about the ninja? Oh no! If you would manage to reach it I could give you a good strategy to finish him and rescue the sensei (which can be killed by the ninja if you don't watch out, or sometimes he even lets wimpy bees kill him just to annoy me to death
), but with that freezing bug that seems to be impossible!

Simple fix.
In the Collectors C1.5 version Grymlock is always in the top of his tower and doesn't walk around aimlessly. and all the other men and enemies are located where they are supposed to be in the walkthroughs. The game doesn't freeze or lock up or get buggy (unless your using Vista). So it was worth the upgrade for me.

Still... I was kind of disappointed when I bought DL and found out there is a better version (CE). But I'm not about to participate in their kapitalistic tricks to make people buy stuff that is 80% the same all over again.
Personally, I didn't ever experience any bugs in 1.4, as for Grymlock, he's a nasty fellow. Seems he lost more then just his memories when Staroxia brainwashed him: I reckon seeing him in the most unimaginable locations.

I play the CE version and it did, in fact, "lock-up" a couple of times. (Though I suspect that has something to do with me casting spell after spell. - Not giving the game a chance to catch up with my casting.)
Freezes every so often while travelling (running) through the expanses betweeen goals.
Even so, I'm not terribly concerned... yet.

Yeah i get the freezes too in CE but thats just the game loading and unloading areas of the maps i've also figured out that long freezes are just maps loading and short ones are enemies loading unless, like the Death Widows in the Forbidden Lands they swarm you ( I really hate when they do that) other than the bees they are the only things that can out run you on foot .
as for the athena bashers i usually throw a few whirlwinds at em that pretty much finishes them off
as a matter of fact i havent run into any thing that can withstand 4 whirlwinds :mischief:
except for mabye the few enemies that arent stupid enough to try to run through em Like the widows theyll wait for the whirlwind to dissipate before running you down
