Help in Chapter 4 - the noonwraith quest (spoilers?)

Post by Sayne »

I always hate putting that spoiler tag in a post... the post is asking for help with a quest... obviously there are spoilers. That's the point, I'm asking for help and if you're reading my post, you are either in search of help yourself or you have the answers.

But I digress. In chapter 4, the quest with Celina and Alina the wraiths. After you bring in Dandelion to read the poem that frees the Noonwraith, how do you free the nightwraith? The Wreath of Immortells is supposed to free her, but when I initiate the dialogue, she isn't freed. She continues to wander. The strange thing is, the wreath is taken from my inventory without any notification. I can then go on to talk to the nightwraith again and the same exact dialog sequence will initiate and Geralt will say he's giving her the wreath, but no freeing of the nightwraith, no quest update, nothing.

Did I screw up somewhere? I do recall killing the nightwraith once when she and the noonwraith were both hostile (right after they both die).

Any ideas?

That sounds like a bug, because the rim is supposed to free her indeed.
I have found no other way of freeing her, sorry.

I had no penalties by killing them (both did also turn hostile at times for me), and I could still free both of them.
