Native Mac Games

Post by Skuld »

Here's my situation. I own a Mac and would be more than happy to load up bootcamp, except I bought my Mac in the last gen of PPC before the switch to Intel. I know, I should've waited, but I had no choice since my 5+ year old laptop was cooked and the semester had already started.

That aside. Does anyone know of any good current Native Mac games (pref RGP/MMORPG) aside from WoW. I have this problem where I get into a gaming rut with certain styles. I started out on Infinity Engine games, and that's pretty much all I played until I discovered SPECIAL games like Arcanum(slightly modofied SPECIAL), Fallout, and Lionheart(modified SPECIAL I believe). Somewhere in that mix fell the Krondor games as well (great books btw). I then switched over to Xbox(used Xbox much cheaper than new comp) for Thief: Deadly Shadows, KOTOR I and II and Morrowind. I don't quite remember what filled the gap between the console stage and WoW on my current Mac, but I'm sure it was just money wasted console games that I couldn't get into which I prob would've been able to use for an Intel Mac right about now(20/20 hindsight). Anyway, there's my gaming history in a nutshell. Any recommendations aside from get a new comp would be appreciated.

Diablo 2 should be compatible with MAC, or at least if there is any truth in the manual that at least I got with the game.

Diablo is the one Blizzard franchise I was not pleased with. Single-player was too hack n' slash and multi-player was too bloated with hacked characters.
