Hey guys. I read over some of my posts in the Baldurs Gate sections.

WTF was I writing!? If I wrote like that now I think I was high on crack or something. It scares the living Hell out of me that I was 16-17 or younger writing some of that stuff...

Anyway - how is everyone? New faces I see, lots of people come and gone too I assume!?

*Salutes COMMrade*

Well met again, COMMrade!

Some things may have changed since our COMM days but hey, we're doing fine. The Light of COMM, though not a conflagration like the good 'ol days is still there.

Have you gotten over your experiences already over there by the train station after a night of booze with some of the SYMians? :D I hope you and Sleepy get more active here again. ;) There are some incidents of "Return of the Comebacks" for some of the ol' timers, and well, it's certainly nice to get nostalgic here and there.

Hope life is treating you swell, Nipster. :)

This is only mild, you should see when they really get started.
Sometimes it even includes fish slapping... :D

Hi Nippy, good to see you! :D It's great to hear you are doing well.

The DF has gone pretty silent, I'm afraid, though some people do occasionally pop in from time to time.
Wow.. nostalgia and memories there :D

@Kipi,
the Dark Flame that Nippy is referring to were a bunch of people (Nippy and myself included) who initially met up in the BG2 forum. We started a thread about the quests pertaining to one of the NPCs, and somehow that branched out into collectively written fan fiction, and then we all ended up in SYM. If you do a search under "Dark Flame" or "DF" you'll find a bunch of stuff.

How are things DW? Keeping busy?!

Hehe - I know, I miss writing a Super Hero Paladin/Monk with an inferiority complex and a tendency to have miraculous powers of... well... everything. Bloody Hell I read over some of that and wonder why I did it! I felt like such a sham reading it LOL!

There were some really good times in the ol' Dark Flames :) Some cracking writing too!

Aye, I'm quite busy these days! We've recently moved, and I'm poking around looking to find work in the government. Though, the civil service seems to be at a pre-Christmas lull just now, so I'm basically cooling my heels until January. Not a bad thing either, life was very chaotic for about a year, and not in a good way either.
But, right now, *grins* life is looking up all the way! Of course, the fact that I have a brand new gaming comp probably helps too. :D

Oh, I remember your DF character lol! Even when you were still being Superhuman, your writing was great, and as we moved along "Nippy the Extraordinary" became "Nippy the Complex and Extraordinary." :D ;)
I'll never forget the rodeo scene that you and BS wrote, ROFL!

Yeah, I miss those days, we produced some good stuff, and it was a lot of fun. On occasion there have been attempts to resurrect the old DF story, but people got busy, were burned out/stressed and so on, thus, sadly, it petered out. If enough of the old crew were about, and we attracted some new writers who were into it, I might be game for another attempt though, life is good and I have the energy again.

So, how is life generally treating you anyway? ;)

Oh God... I'll have to find the rodeo - I don't even remember it! I'm sure it was entertaining for you lot. :p

Hey - if everyone has time and there is interest, I wouldn't mind writing - could potentially start some interesting writing again. :)

Life isn't too bad too be honest. I can see myself moving over to the US before long... Should I pass immigration etc, it's a real ambition of mine to move over there if I can line up work. I'd be looking at New Jersey/New York if things go smoothly. That won't be for a few years though, a few things to do in England still! ;) Gaming seems to suck in comparison to Baldurs Gate now too. I get so disappointed when I look at those games sat on my shelf and no sequels or anything comes out. :(

So have you been doing all the meetings with T'lainya, Gwal and all? Did you meet Ysh? Where is she? How's Viv doing? And AC? Is Jenna/Loner still around?

I'm pretty sure the rodeo scene involved a skeleton or two, if that helps your search any :D Though, I don't remember the Book it was in or anything. I think we were in tunnels or something though.

Well, if people are interested in writing, why don't we see what we can do? I'd suggest putting up a thread about it in SYM first, since that is where we began, and then if we generate interest, we could move it over to Fan Fiction. Personally.... I preferred writng in SYM... but..

Hmm.. Well I hear that New York, though extremely expensive to live in, is a great city! So, good luck with those plans!

Regarding gaming.. Yes, there has been a long drought for good games. Though, I have recently acquired both The Witcher and Lord of the Rings Online, and thus far I've been rather impressed. I gather that NWN2's expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, is pretty good too, though I have not picked it up yet.

I met a bunch of the crew a couple of years ago in Texas/Arizona, Scayde, Gwally, T'Lainya, it was a blast! :D
They all pop in occasionally. Others, appear very arrely, but I keep in touch with them over IM and/or email.

Unfortunately, I have not seen Loner, Viv or Jenna for years... (

Have to run, lunch meeting to go to!

How the Hell should I know? I'm allergic to exercise :p

Most of the old crew are pretty much either gone or sporadic. I believe they never existed in the first place. They were all figments. Sigh....I miss Ysh's leather, T's whip...... :( I miss Viv's bunny too...it was so soft... :D

AC is still around occasionally on MSN, but she hasn't been on the board in awhile now.

@DW, I vaguely recall some kind of rodeo thingie somewhere. It had to be in the tunnels though, I only showed up in the last book :p
