Shadow Ruins Bricks Problem (Merged)

SHadow of ruins tower. bricks wont push in so therefor cant adv up a lvl any way to fix this or is there a certain way to push in bricks other than shift?

To push in the bricks on the tower climb you character needs to be in *front* of the brick, have a scout of 2 or better, and then use the shift button .. I think.

In the tower and the hub area I can't "push" things. Not the book to open the secret treasure room, not the block to lower the platform, not the book to make the statues come to life, nothing. I'm playing CE. It's enough to make you want to quit this game with all the bugs.....or is it just me? Please help. Thanks.

I should mention I have detect lvl 9 so its not like my character can't spot it.

There is no "Detect" skill, note the differences between the Thief skills here:

Read the descriptions carefully to determine which skill set you need (and you'll only need 2 levels in that skill).

Agreed....
It does make you want to "QUIT" such a Bug Ridden Game...

I don't know why others can't answer your Questions.

I've had problems Every since I bought it 2 months ago.
At the time I was running Windows XP SP2.
Had to restart the Game 3 times because of Glitches.

Upgraded to Vista which is MUCH BETTER then XP by the way...

Had to restart the game again which was really of No Shock to me to begin with. After trying to Save my Files for a Fresh Install... Anyway...
Had to set it up to run as Admin, and XP SP2 in the Compatability Settings...
After getting Invalid Slot 1 5 9 0 and so on.

I to can't PUSH "SQUAT" in the Tower Area...
Books, Blocks what have ya...
My Level is 17 Traits set up as far as they can Go, Killed so many different things I can't Possiably Name them all...
GOLD is up to the amount of 250,000+...

And don't give me read the Different Info on the different traits because I have...
And this hasn't HELPED one bit...

They annouce a Sequel to this GAME...

But why would I want to buy it, when this is So BUG Ridden...
And no one wants to Help you with this problem???

I've fought my way to get this Far, Restarted Games 4 times, Got this far and yet another Bug...

To Be Truthful I'm about to Uninstall it And BURN the Friggin Disk...

But I don't want to Because I Love the STUPID Game...
And I'm a FPS fan myself....

SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER OUR QUESTION....

Perhaps this is a Vista problem. I have no idea why you'd be able to interact with things before the tower, but not in the tower.

I assume you have some points in Scout?

Shadow Ruins TOWER Problem Solved............

I noticed in Post dating back to 2005 before I gave up looking for a solution, and figured I find out how to fix it myself.
That NO ONE else wanted to seem to help.

Here's the Solution to being able to push in those Pesky Books and Blocks.
It was Simple and right underneath My Nose.....

In your Character Pain after Pushing C to get into it.
On the right side under General Traits, I believe thats what they are called....

YOU MUST maKe sure that yuour SCOUT LEVEL is at #2 or Higher.

Scottg told you exactly where to find the answer, and you ignored him. Anybody who posted in 2005 had a different problem because the Scout skill didn't even exist until the CE.
